The apparent and straightforward reality that the Savior of the gospels requests a type of profound affection centered on the impoverished has consistently rendered Christian religion rather a controversial faith: appealing to the masses, but owing to its inherent radicalness requiring to be restrained. In the fifties it was controlled by dilution – Protestantism was so widespread that it practically sanctified existing conditions.
